Long Beach is the last affordable beachside community on the
entire California coastline. For those desiring to buy or sell Long Beach real
estate or homes it is imperative to know that there are more than forty areas
within the city of Long Beach - all boasting their own uniqueness. We have
defined these more than forty areas into seven regions that share common
features based on their location and proximity to one another.
Region 1 includes Naples, Belmont Shore, Belmont Heights,
Belmont Park, Alamitos Heights, Marina Pacifica, Bay Harbor, Downtown, Alamitos
Beach, and Seal Beach. A recurring theme in this region is the water. Naples is
an island community reminiscent of Italian coastal cities. This quaint little
island is tucked away from the hubbub of Second Street. Naples offers homes
overlooking canals with picturesque views of gondolas floating past, and
streets named after Italian cities and Roman thoroughfares.
Just to the north of Naples you will find charming Belmont
Shore. A home purchased in this three quarter of a mile area along Second
Street gives you the leisure of leaving your car at home so you can enjoy a
walk to the beach, or window shopping the many boutiques, outdoor dining and
entertainment, and a variety of other local events that are the pulse of this
community. Both Naples and Belmont Shore offer an eclectic mix of renovated and
remodeled homes including some multi-unit buildings.
To the west, north, and south of Naples real estate and Belmont
Shore boat slips abound. If you are a boating enthusiast then the communities
of Marina Pacifica and Spinnaker Bay offer private boat slips that are
exclusive to these developments. Buying a home in either of these two
communities will allow you to avoid the long waiting list for public boat slips
in the Long Beach area.
If you prefer newer developments along the water the Marina
Pacifica condominiums provide harbor views on one side or convenient access to
shopping, dining, and entertainment on the other side. Exclusive Spinnaker Bay
is one of the newer housing developments offering privacy and quiet living. Not
interested in boating but the location is right this area offers several other
new housing and condominium developments just walking distance to the water.
